The Whonnock Weavers & Spinners of Maple Ridge, BC is holding a workshop in Mission, BC on September 9 & 10, 2017 and there are a few spaces available if anyone is interested. The description is:
‘Weaving Bootcamp’ with Barbara Mitchell
This is for new weavers, occasional weavers and experienced weavers who would like a refresher. This workshop takes the new weaver from an empty loom through to weaving confidently by the end of the workshop. It includes measuring the warp, sleying, threading, winding on and tying-on, and weaving both plain weave and twill, and also reading and understanding a draft. Each participant would work on their own table top loom.
The cost is $100 for two days. There are looms available for rent by prior arrangement.
